TCA Aircraft Testing Department. Small single & twin prop aircraft test report. Date of Report:June-12-98 Tested by: Doug Miller ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION A: (Original FSFS aircraft details.) a) Aircraft name: TCA 182rg Turbo b) Aircraft registration: CN0001TCA  c) Aircraft Filename: TCA-C182.ZIP ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION B: (FS98 only aircraft file details.) a) Aircraft Filename: b) Aircraft name: ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION C: (Criteria Tested) 1) Endurance (range) NM: 992nm hehe I flew the Bermuda to Orlando flight with this plane and I landed with 6 pounds of feul. 2) Take-off distance(metres): 480 meters Landing distance(metres): 220 meters 3) Rotation speed (Vr) (KIAS): a)Educated guess: 75 b)Calculated: 80 4) Climb: Best climb speed (KIAS/fpm):80 Kias/1000 fpm 5) Overspeed clacker(at cruise altitude) Mach number or KIAS:could not get this plane to overspeed. Except when doing a stall spin. Even then It took awhile. :-) 6) Behavior under AP: (OK/Not OK) a) Speed AP. N/A b) Altitude AP. Ok c) Heading AP. Ok d) NAV1 AP. ok e) Back course AP. Ok f) Approach AP. ok (took Me all the way down to the ground) g) Autoland. N/A (use app) 7) Speed @ 80% power at cruise altitudes (Mach number or KIAS):130 Kias 8) Power setting, economic cruise speed: 90% 9) Stall speed (KIAS). a) 100% fuel: Clean= Could not get to stall. With the auto pilot set to maintain altitude and heading, I killed the power. Just when I thought it was gonna stall, it dove to about -500 fpm and picked up just enough speed to not stall. Dirty=43 Kias b) 30% fuel:Clean=same as above. Dirty=39Kias 10) Approach speed at 30% fuel (KIAS): 60 Kias 11) Turns AP ON - (OK/Not OK): a) Level turns. ok b) Climbing turns. ok c) Descending turns. ok 12) Turns AP OFF - (OK/Not OK): a) Level turns. ok b) Climbing turns. ok c) Descending turns. ok 13) Landing speed (KIAS): a) 30% fuel: 50 Kias b) 15% fuel: 50 Kias 14) Take-off with some engines out of service: Single engine plane. Wouldnt take off with out engine unless a 80 knt headwind was present. :-) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SECTION D: NOTES/COMMENTS: Great plane for airport hopping. All the good handeling of a trainer plane, with TCA colors and turbo. You cant beat it for the price.
